Brave challenge submitted online

How can we persuade a consensus of humanity that we must save civilization and the planet together, all 7G of us? Can we write brave stories of the possibilities? Brave challenge submitted online:

Increasing wealth and increasing happiness don’t add together.

If we all reassessed what really makes us happy, most would find it isn’t consumption; but people and relationships. Therefore we need to find ways to encourage spaces for dialogue and real discussion about life and how to be fufilled - this is missed out in education.

Life is full of too much small talk - we need to awake souls and only through this will we find action for sustainability.

Our planet and its people: What scientists are saying about the threats to a sustainable future -

A new paper from Dr Mike Edwards on the Progressio website, summarising his response to the Planet under Pressure conference.

'The time for action is now; it is not too late to do something really bold to address the global environmental changes which threaten life on Earth. However, these changes are not going to occur by tweaking the political and economic systems that have created the problem; rather, we need radical transformation. As Einstein observed: "You cannot solve a problem from the same consciousness that created it. You must learn to see the world anew”.’

Brave challenge: Professor Anne Glover, EU Chief Scientist:

My brave challenge for science is to communicate the evidence, illustrate the solutions and work with others to translate that into a compelling reason for all of us to change.”
